“I beseech Thee, O Lord of Names, by Thy Cause…”

The following is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a passage from a prayer by Bahá’u’lláh. More information about its provenance will be made available as soon as possible.

I beseech Thee, O Lord of Names, by Thy Cause through which Thou hast subdued every kingdom and dominion, and by Thy Call through which the denizens of Paradise have become attracted, to aid us with that which will exalt our stations at the court of Thy glory and in the precincts of Thy nearness.

أَسأَلُكَ یَا اِلَهَ الأَسْمَاءِ بِاَمْرِكَ اَلَّذِي بِهِ سَخَّرْتَ المُلْكَ وَالمَلَکُوتَ وَ بِنِدَائِكَ اَلَّذِي اِنْجَذَبَ مِنْهُ اَهْلُ الجَبَرُوتِ أَنْ تُؤَیِّدَنَا عَلَی مَا تَرْتَفَعُ بِهِ مَقَامَاتَنَا فِيْ سَاحَةِ عِزِّكَ وَ بِسَاطِ قُرْبِكَ
