What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a Tablet by Bahá’u’lláh, the original text of which has been published in Áyát-i-Iláhí, vol. 2, p. 52. According to a manuscript copy of this Tablet held at the British Library (Or15719, p. 75), the Tablet was addressed to Muḥammad, son of a man whose name has been abbreviated with the letters ‘ayn and bih (ع ب), perhaps ‘Abbás or ‘Abdu’lláh.
O thou who art young in years! Thy letter hath arrived before the divine Countenance and was perused. Praised be God, in the early days of thy life, thou didst turn to the True Sanctuary and attain to the recognition of Him. Verily, bounty lieth in the hand of God; He bestoweth it on whomsoever He willeth from among His creatures. He is, in truth, the All-Knowing, the All-Informed. How many are the people who, in spite of their searching and hoping, have failed at the end of their lives to recognize the Desired One! Yet thou, by the grace and bounty of God, hast achieved this greatest of victories at the beginning of thy life. God willing, thou mayest abide in the shade of the celestial tree as a protected mentioner.*

* Presumably meaning a mentioner of God or His Cause.
