“God grant that, through His grace, thou mayest attain to that which is beloved in the estimation of the Lord of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob…”

What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a Tablet of Bahá’u’lláh, the original text of which has been published in Táríkh-i-Amríy-i-Hamadán, pp. 258–59, and Ḥadíqiy-i-‘Irfán, p. 59

Jináb-i-Lálihzár[1]

In My Name, the Speaker amidst heaven and earth

God grant that, through His grace, thou mayest attain to that which is beloved in the estimation of the Lord of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I swear by the Sun of the utterance of the Most Merciful that the eye hath been created for this glorious day, and the ear brought into being for these times—that the body was meant for this wondrous era, and the soul for comprehending this sublime Cause. Bend every effort; perchance thou mayest drink from the divine Jordan[2] and circle round the true Mosque of Aqṣá.[3] Whosoever in this day hath arisen with complete steadfastness in the Cause of the Lord of humankind hath been, and continueth to be, one who prostrateth himself and boweth humbly, who doth circumambulate and kneel down in submission. Such is the testimony of this Wronged One in this conspicuous Prison.

O Lálihzár! Do thou rejoice in My mention of thee. To assist God is accounted as the best beloved of all things in the Mighty Book. Praise be to Mine own Self, the All-Glorious, the All-Wise!

جناب لاله‌زار

بسمی النّاطق بین السّموات و الارضین

ان شاءالله به عنایتِ الهی به آنچه الیوم نزدِ ربِّ ابراهیم و اسحق و یعقوب محبوب است فائز باشی. قسم به آفتابِ بیانِ رحمن که چشم از برای این یومِ عزیز خلق شده، آذان از برای این ایّام به وجود آمده، هیکل از برای این روزِ بدیع است، و جان از برای ادراکِ این امرِ منیع. جهد نمایید؛ شاید از اُردُنِ الهی بیاشامید و مسجدِ اقصایِ حقیقی را طواف نمایید. هر که الیوم به استقامتِ تمام بر امرِ مالکِ انام قیام نمود، او ساجد و خاضع و طائف و راکع بوده و هست. کَذَلِکَ اَشْهَدَ الْمَظْلُومُ فِی هَذِهِ السِّجْنِ الْمُبِینِ. یَا لَالِه‌ْزَارُ، اَنِ افْرَحْ بِذِکْرِی اِیَّاکَ. نَصْرُ اللهِ اَحَبُّ مِنْ کُلِّ شَیْءٍ فِی کِتَابٍ عَظِیمٍ. وَ الْحَمْدُ لِنَفْسِی الْعَزِیزِ الْعَلِیمِ.
