What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a prayer from Baháʼuʼlláh, the original text of which is published in Majmúʻiy-i-Munáját-i-Áthár-i-Ḥaḍrat-i-Baháʼuʼlláh, vol. 1, pp. 149–150.

My God, My Adored One!

From Thee I came, and unto Thee have I returned. Illumine my heart with the light of Thy knowledge. Thou art that Almighty One Whose omnipotence can never be stayed by such power as the world and its peoples can muster. With a single splendor from the sun of Thy beneficence, oceans of generosity have appeared, and with but one effulgence from the day-star of Thy munificence, the world of being was begotten. Remove, O divine Providence, that which beseemeth not Thy days, and confer whatsoever Thou deemest worthy. Thou art that Bestower Whose bounty knoweth no limit or constraint. We are Thy servants; it is Thee that we seek, and Thee that we supplicate. Thou art the Gracious, the Most Bountiful.

الها معبودا

از توام و به تو آمدم؛ قلبم را به نور معرفتت منیر فرما. تویی مقتدری که قدرت عالم و امم از اقتدارت باز نداشت. از یک اشراق از نیّر کَرَمت دریاهای کَرَم ظاهر و از یک تجلّی از نیّر جودت عالم وجود موجود. ای پروردگار، آنچه لایق ایّامت نیست اَخذ نما و آنچه قابل است عطا فرما. تویی آن بخشنده‌ای که بخششت محدود به حدود نه. عبادِ توییم؛ تو را می‌جوییم و از تو می‌طلبیم. تویی فضّال و تویی بخشنده
