What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a passage from a Tablet of Bahá’u’lláh, the original text of which has been published in Bisháratu’n-Núr, pp. 11–12. The complete text of the Tablet is available on the Bahá’í Reference Library here.
We desire to make mention of those chosen ones of God and His loved ones, men and women alike, who have ascended unto the glorious Companion. Verily, thy Lord is the All-Bountiful, the All-Forgiving, the All-Merciful. The glory that hath shone forth from the horizon of the heaven of bounty rest upon you, O people of Bahá! Ye are they who did not violate the Covenant of God and His Testament, rather did ye recognize and acknowledge His Revelation, His grandeur, His sovereignty, His might, His power, and His dominion. Blessed are ye, and well is it with you, inasmuch as ye attained unto the traces of the Supreme Pen, both before your passing and after your ascension unto the Realm of Glory. We beseech God to pardon you, to put away your sins, to cause the showers of His mercy to rain down upon you from the clouds of the heaven of His generosity, and to ordain for you that which will adorn you with the ornament of joy and ecstasy. Potent is He to do what He pleaseth. There is none other God but Him, the Almighty, the Ever-Forgiving.
