What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a prayer from ʻAbduʼl-Bahá, the original text of which is published in Majmúʻiy-i-Munáját: Ḥaḍrat-i-ʻAbduʼl-Bahá, p. 206 (passage no. 178).
He is God
O Thou forgiving Lord! Confirm this gathering and grant them success, that they may illumine this world with the light of unity, and brighten both the East and the West with the ray of love and the radiance of concord.
O Thou kind Bestower! Revive these hearts with the breaths of the Holy Spirit, and make these faces to be even as brightly burning candles, that they may fill this world with splendor and instill Thy virtues into all mankind.
Thou art the Bestower, the Giver, the Loving.
