What follows is a provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a Tablet of ʻAbduʼl-Bahá, which Khazeh Fananapazir and I worked together to produce. The original text of this Tablet is published in Safíniy-i-ʻIrfán, vol. 14, p. 34.
He is the All-Glorious
O Thou who cleavest tenaciously to the Sure Handle! If thou wishest for eternal glory, seek grievous abasement in the path of God.
If thou seekest honour and dignity in the divine realm, offer up thy heart and thy head in the love and adoration of the Beauty of God.
If thou searchest for true wealth, abide beneath the shade of poverty in all things save God.
If thou yearnest for tranquility of soul and peace of mind, seek the shelter of detachment.
If thou longest for thy face to be luminous, adorn it with the light of the love of God.
If thou wishest for thy heart to be spiritual, bestir it with the breezes of the garden of the All-Merciful.
If thou seekest sovereignty in both this world and the world to come, set out on the path of adherence to the Covenant and perseverance in Him Who is the Beauty of God, and arise to promote the Word of God and spread the divine fragrances.
The glory of God rest upon thee.
