“O thou who art turning thy face towards God! Open thine eyes to the Kingdom of the Unseen Realm…”

What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a Tablet of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, the original text of which has been published in Majmúʻiy-i-Munáját-há: Ḥaḍrat-i-ʻAbduʼl-Bahá, pp. 28586 (selection no. 255).

He is God

O thou who art turning thy face towards God! Open thine eyes to the Kingdom of the Unseen Realm, and with this prayer begin thy supplication:

“O loving Provider! Do Thou conceal and cover. We commit sins, yet Thou art generous. We are unfaithful, yet Thou art loyal. We transgress, yet Thou art our Refuge. We fall ill, yet Thou art our Healer. Overlook our shortcomings and pardon us. Be graciously faithful; give us a haven and grant us healing.”

A typescript of the original Persian text of this Tablet appears below (all punctuation and short vowel marks mine).
