“O my God! This imploring soul hath ardently supplicated the Kingdom of Thy sanctity…”

What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a prayer of ʻAbduʼl-Bahá, the original text of which is published in Majmúʻiy-i-Munáját-há: Ḥaḍrat-i-ʻAbduʼl-Bahá, vol. 2, p. 93

He is God

O my God! This imploring soul hath ardently supplicated the Kingdom of Thy sanctity, clung to the hem of the garment of Thy grandeur, and appealed to the magnitude of Thy loftiness to encompass him with Thy heavenly affections, immerse him in the oceans of Thy oneness, and cause him to soar in the highest reaches of Thy beneficence. Through Thy grace and bounty, O my Lord, make it easy for him to fulfill his hopes.

A typescript of the original Arabic text of this prayer appears below.
