“O Parsi friends! Every people hath had an auspicious day…”

What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a passage from a Tablet of ʻAbduʼl-Bahá, the original text of which is published in Yárán-i-Pársí, p. 442 (selection no. 650).

He is God

O Pársí friends! Every people hath had an auspicious day, on which they have held great festivals and celebrations filled with joy and delight. Today is your day; it is the time for your happiness and gladness, for the Persian sun is shining from the horizon of Iran and casting its light upon all the earth. Soon will Iran become the envy of the world, and the Iranian people arouse the jealousy of its denizens.

Upon you be the glory of the All-Glorious.

A typescript of the original Persian text of this passage appears below.
