What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a prayer by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, the original text of which has been published in Majmúʻiy-i-Munáját-há: Ḥaḍrat-i-ʻAbduʼl-Bahá, pp. 52–53 (selection no. 52).
He is God!
O Lord, Thou Who art kind, generous, and merciful! We are servants at Thy threshold, all abiding beneath the shadow of Thy oneness. The Sun of Thy compassion shineth upon all, and the clouds of Thy bounty rain down upon all. Thy favors encompass all, and Thy grace sustaineth all. Thou dost shelter all, and with the gaze of Thy loving-kindness dost Thou behold all.
O Lord! Confer Thine infinite gifts and kindle the light of guidance, illumine every eye and grant eternal joy unto every heart, imbue all souls with a new spirit and vouchsafe life everlasting. Fling wide the gates of knowledge and cause the light of faith to shine resplendent, unite all beneath the shadow of Thy bounty and bring all together in harmony, that they may become as the rays of one sun, the waves of one sea, and the fruits of one tree—that they may drink from one fountain, be stirred by one breeze, and receive illumination from one light. Thou art the Giver, the Bestower, the Almighty.
