What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a passage from a Tablet of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, the original text of which has been published in Má’idiy-i-Ásmání, vol. 2, pp. 29–30.
As to the supplication of one’s needs in holy places: Since those sites are associated with God, they are, therefore, the most exalted of all spots. It is certain that the supplication of one’s needs in the most exalted of spots is not like praying in other places.
