What follows is my provisional translation (in other words, not official or authorized; see here for more) of a prayer from a Tablet of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá, published in Makátíb-i-Ḥaḍrat-i-‘Abdu’l-Bahá, vol. 2, p. 65 and available as a typescript on the Bahá’í Reference Library here.
O holy Lord! Wish not for this long-standing servant to be sorrowful. Grant him heavenly joy and bestow on him celestial splendor—make him one of Thy brilliant stars and a rose of Thy garden, appoint him chief of the divine threshold and crown his head with the diadem of the realm above, illumine Thou his face and scatter his pearls, infuse his spirit with the scent of musk and turn his heart into a flowery meadow—in order that the sweet savor of his character may stir the souls, and the radiance of his countenance outshine the moon and stars. Thou art the Kind, Thou art the Bestower, Thou art the Omnipotent.
