A Survey of Themes Discussed by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá During His Second Tour in Europe
At this first in-person conference held at the Green Acre Bahá’í School by the Corinne True Center for Bahá’í History, I gave a high-level overview of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s approach to speaking to various audiences as He traveled in England, Scotland, France, Germany, Hungary, Austria, and Egypt from December 1912 to December 1913. A recording and transcript of the talk, courtesy of Mark Rossman, are available (a playlist of all the recorded presentations is here). The slides I presented are available here, and the full program can be found here. A summary of this conference, written by the Corinne True Center’s executive committee, is available here. Additional thoughts shared by one of the attendees, Cathy Higgins, can be found here.

The Eloquent Discourse of the Master
This was a series of talks that Hooper Dunbar and I took turns giving to a small audience at a weekend retreat in Nevada City, California. My presentations comprised a comprehensive chronological overview of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s second tour in Europe, based on my translation of Mírzá Maḥmúd Zarqání’s account chronicling this journey.
